Topic: Get Moving
Text: Exodus 14:15-31
Key verse: Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the people to get moving!
Who is like unto thee oh Lord? This is one of the passages in the Bible you read and your heart bursts out with praise to God for his awesome display of power and majesty. As l read the text, it was like an action movie was rolling, l could even hear the sounds change reflecting the climax of display of stunts that will even make the worst atheist tremble. This God is omnipotent!
All of his power can never be on display when we live in fear, or resign to anxiety, tears and self pity. God looked at the Israelites and was disappointed with them , after seeing many plagues in Egypt and the display of God\’s supremacy, they were still crying in the face of another challenge instead of calling upon the Lord.
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the people to get moving! If no one believed, Moses ought to know better. The presence of God with him is the guarantee to another miraculous deliverance. One truth that you must embrace today is, Your inadequacy in life is fully complimented by the sufficiency of God!
God expects us to put our faith in him to work, by taking action. In chemistry we learn about certain chemicals called catalysts, faith is a catalyst. These chemicals are ordinary when they sit in a beaker or test tube. The moment you introduce them in the chemical reaction, their power is unleashed.
You believe God, you speak faith, that\’s wonderful. God is waiting on you to speak to the situation. It’s time to take the step of faith towards the adversary. As the leader in your home , business or ministry, it’s time to speak and tell the people what to do.
Do you hear God\’s voice? Fear cripples you ,knocks out your spiritual energy and leaves you defenceless. But faith quickens, activates, energizes and produces results. The moment you act, God takes over, and shows off his power on your behalf. It is God that works in you to will and to do his good pleasure.
\”When my glory is displayed through them, all Egypt will see my glory and know that I am the Lord!” The key to supernatural living is to seek God\’s glory. Don\’t always make everything about you, my money, my house, my marriage, my children. Think about how God\’s purpose, plan and glory will be realized.
The heavens will fight for you, the sea will obey you, not because you said so , but because of whose side you are on. God is all sufficient, beautiful for all situations. Trust him today, the battle is not yours but his, and watch the Lord glorify himself in your story!
When the people of Israel saw the mighty power that the Lord had unleashed against the Egyptians, they were filled with awe before him. They put their faith in the Lord and in his servant Moses. Your testimony will make men put their faith in God and in you his servant.
Get up and move!
