Divine Supply Chain

Topic: Divine Supply Chain

Text:  Isaiah 55

Key Text: You also will command nations you do not know, and peoples unknown to you will come running to obey, because I, the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, have made you glorious.\”

The wisdom of the Lord cannot be fully comprehended; it is too wonderful for me. God is a million miles ahead in the planning and execution of every vision in human endeavor. In today\’s text, the Lord reveals the supply chain he has put in place for providing for his people, especially those who choose to live by Faith.

You also will command nations you do not know, and peoples unknown to you will come running to obey,…\” Even though this promise was made to the whole nation of Israel, it is still applicable to us as individuals today, because God\’s word is eternal and it works for anyone who believes it.

Right from Genesis, God made it clear that it is his responsibility to provide for his people using a supply chain. In Biology we learned about the food chain and the food web, sometimes you can see how one living thing depends on the other for its sustenance, while in the food web, you see the interdependence within the living things.

You are God\’s child, everything you need to live has been provided even before you were born when God called Abraham he already had the land of Canaan as an inheritance for him. People were dwelling there but little by little God led Abraham to take possession of the land and the wealth in it, many of the inhabitants became his employees and even assets. He became so rich that the nations envied him.

\” And he said, I am Abraham\’s servant. And the Lord hath blessed my master greatly, and he has become great: and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses.\” Genesis 24: 34-35

\” Yes, think about Abraham, your ancestor, and Sarah, who gave birth to your nation. Abraham was only one man when I called him. But when I blessed him, he became a great nation.\” Isaiah 51:2

It is the blessing of God on a man that gives him access to all the resources he needs in life, whether it is food, scholarship for education, shelter, employment,  creative abilities, favor, and leadership skills. To live by faith is to wait on God to receive all you need from the predetermined sources.

There are several relationships God gave me that became a source of supply for me at specific seasons in my life. Access to certain organizations came by divine direction, God\’s favor kept me in their service for many years even when they were threats from competitors. Learning how to position yourself to attract this provision is tied to your willingness to obey God\’s word and trust his leading. The disciplines of hard work, tithing, savings, and investing in people and projects cannot be overemphasized.  Abraham and Isaac sowed, while Jacob discovered the strategy to multiply his cattle by divine revelation. Through prayers and prophetic declarations, you can call the nations to you and they will fulfill God\’s word for you because the Lord will make you favorable in their eyes.

… peoples unknown to you will come running to obey, because I, the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, have made you glorious .\”
