Arise & Build

Topic: Arise & Build

Text: Nehemiah 2:1-9

Key Verse: Then I told the king, “Sir, if it’s all right with you, please send me back to Judah, so that I can rebuild the city where my ancestors are buried.” – Nehemiah 2:5

It is not everyone who sees the destruction of life and property that can carry a burden to rebuild it. What do you see around you that makes you sad? What is the state of affairs in your community, and what are you willing to do about it?
Nehemiah received a report of the waste and damage done to his ancestral home and he grieved. Do you care about the state of your family and the future of your ancestry? Do you need the Nehemiah anointing? Arise then and build!

God is always looking for men and women with a big heart, people with the capacity that can carry the burden of others. There are the Deborahs’, Esthers’, Moses’, and the Davids’. What change are you ready to see?

There are things we cannot change once they have happened, but there is so much we can do to experience restoration. God is always ready to work with those who can see the future with the eyes of faith, not those who live and talk only about the past.
Are you ready to act on that report you have received about your family? Are you burdened enough to go before the king and receive help to restore things? As you rise today, God is faithful to make you a repairer and a builder in Jesus’ name. Amen.

…You will rebuild those houses left in ruins for years; you will be known as a builder and repairer of city walls and streets.- Isaiah 58:12
