Text: Hebrews 6:12
Key verse: \”So don’t allow your hearts to grow dull or lose your enthusiasm, but follow the example of those who fully received what God has promised because of their strong faith and patient endurance\”
Glory to God! I\’m bursting with hope and enthusiasm, it\’s a new day in a new season! COVID-19 came with a mission to steal, kill and destroy but God has already determined that all things will work together for good for those who love him, whose lives are working according to his predetermined counsel. This is my version of Romans 8:28. This month you must believe this scripture and start looking for its manifestation in your life.
It is time now to look at the practical implications of living by faith in God in a time like this. The pandemic has impacted the world in a scale that is causing changes to the way things are normally done. We are in a new world, this is a transition to the new normal, you cannot sit in darkness to mourn what is lost, it is time to embrace new methods of communication, e-commerce, and relationship with people without the luxury of physical contact.
This is new to us but not new to people of faith. The book of Hebrews will guide us as we explore the subject more. Our text today points us to people of outstanding performance, though human like us, they made the most of the opportunities they had and came out as overcomers. They are worthy ambassadors of the Jesus brand!
We are admonished to: follow their example because they fully received what God has promised. How did they do it? They had a strong faith and patient endurance.
This month we shall focus on how to build our faith to become strong and learn how to be patient and endure whatever uncomfortable situations may come our way as we transition to a better season.
One word l want to leave you with is more. This is a season of more of everything. We need more spiritual connection to God, the more IT skills, more soft skills, more innovations, more customers (global audience), more ministry opportunities, etc. You must be ready to learn, ask questions, and be humble to learn from the millennial generation, this is their time to stay in front and we will learn from them how to ride the internet. This is what we call reverse mentoring. If your relationship with your children particularly your teenager has broken down, this is the time to build the bridge and get it fixed. You can do more now with less.
Don\’t miss out at this moment; leave the past with its pains, disappointments, betrayals, and shame.
So don’t allow your hearts to grow dull or lose your enthusiasm.
Look up and see what God has in store for you. It has to be accessed by strong faith! If you have survived all these years on other people\’s faith, it is time to build your faith and ride the waves to victory.
We shall look closely at our brand ambassadors, who God has certified as worthy examples to emulate. May the Lord fill your heart with great expectations for this season in Jesus name, Amen.
