Steps to the Inheritance

Theme: Contending for your Inheritance!
Topic: Steps to the Inheritance

Key Verse: “….to open their eyes and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith that is in Me.’ Acts 26:18(KJ21)

It is the will of God for you and me to receive an inheritance! This inheritance is not for everyone but for all ready to follow due process. Yes, due process! Hallelujah!

Our key text is part of the words of Jesus to Apostle Paul during his call. The mission to which God called him was very clear, to show the Gentiles how to become beneficiaries of the inheritance that had been primarily for the Jews. You and l are gentiles, but God desires that the blessings and promises made to Abraham should be ours too. Amen.

5 STEPS TO THE INHERITANCE

You are to open their eyes and turn them from the darkness to the light and from the power of Satan to God so that through their faith in me, they will have their sins forgiven and receive their place among God’s chosen people.’ GNT Hallelujah!!!

1. You are to open the eyes of people

We need our eyes opened to deliver us from blindness and ignorance.
“The God who rules this world has blinded the minds of unbelievers. They cannot see the light, which is the good news about our glorious Christ, who shows what God is like”. 2 Corinthians 4:4
We need opened eyes to the truth about the kingdom of God. We need our eyes to be enlightened to understand the values, principles, and priorities of the kingdom of heaven. When a man who lacks understanding receives the inheritance, he mismanages it, as the prodigal son did.
Have your eyes been opened to discover the truth about the love of God? Jesus said, “The truth will set you free”.!
Do you know the truth concerning healing, prosperity, and anointing? Pray that every blindness in your life that has kept you as a beggar will be removed in Jesus’ name!.
Pray that every blindness, resulting in ignorance of your spiritual gifts and opportunities and preventing you from discerning the evil around you, will be destroyed in Jesus’ name, Amen.

  1. Turn them from the darkness to the light

When we confess faith in Jesus, we are delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of his dear Son: Colossian 1:13.

The scriptures warn us to “Have nothing to do with the worthless things that people do, things that belong to the darkness. Instead, bring them out to the light“. Ephesians 5:11

“But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.” 1 John 2:11

Darkness produces blindness; there are things that the people that represent darkness do; it must not be seen in you if you desire to possess your inheritance. Let us pray and ask God to expose every manifestation of darkness in our lives, marriages, and families in Jesus’ name.

3 From the power of Satan to God

In Mark 7:35, Jesus healed a man whose tongue was tied and hearing was blocked by satan. That is what the power of Satan can do. It brings bondage, but the power of God gives freedom!

Jesus asked a question In Luke 13:16, “This Woman belongs to the family of Abraham, but Satan has kept her bound for eighteen years. Isn’t it right to set her free on the Sabbath?” You know that you feel bound; your life experiences reveal one form of bondage or the other; you cannot enjoy your inheritance while in bondage to satan.! Let us pray to the Father to lose us from every satanic captivity in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen!
And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity”. Luke 13:12 Hallelujah!

How can you go and possess your possession when you are perpetually sick, bound by infirmity? How can you be financially free when more than half of your money is spent on drugs? Begin to possess your healing as you resist the spirit of infirmity in the mighty name of Jesus! Break the power of Satan over your life as you speak the word of faith in Jesus’ name.

Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you because the word says, whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven. We forbid every operation of darkness in our lives in Jesus’ name, amen. I decree a release and manifestation of the power of God, in your life today, to set the captives free in Jesus’ name, amen.

  1. Through faith, their sins are forgiven

It is through his Son that we have redemption — that is, our sins have been forgiven.” Col 1:14

We must know the basis of the forgiveness of our sins, or else the enemy will continue to condemn us and make us feel unworthy, unqualified, and undeserving of the promises of God. It is by faith that we receive anything from God.
The prodigal son did not expect anything when he returned to his Father because of guilt, shame, and fear. Have you made some significant mistakes in life or ministry? There is forgiveness for you today and restoration in Jesus’ name! As the prodigal’s Father restored his robe, gave him a ring, and sandals for his feet, I decree, be restored in Jesus’ name! Take your birthright back, in Jesus’ name. Amen. Receive this by faith, don’t be confused by your feeling, but walk by faith.
Are you living under the bondage of guilt? Begin to declare: I am forgiven, my sins are gone, by the blood of Jesus! I am free, forgiven, and saved in Jesus’ name. Amen!

  1. Receive their place among God’s chosen people.

Listen to the lost son

I will arise and go to my Father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, And am no more worthy of being called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.”Luke 15:18-19

Choosing to be a servant instead of a son is not the will of God for you! A restored relationship is what God wants! Listen to what the Father said!
“But the Father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet”.

What does this mean? Beauty for ashes, the robe of righteousness, Ring of restored relationship, shoes on his feet, sandals of peace, new beginning! Hallelujah! Receive your new beginning in Jesus’ name!

Finally, listen to what the Father also said:” And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.”!!!!! Hallelujah!

As long as you are home with Father, all he has is yours! Your place is with the father, never leave his side again. Hallelujah!
Are you excited? I am! Begin to declare,

“I have a father who loves me. I am not rejected but accepted!. “

Give thanks to God for his word today in Jesus’ name

Begin to apply these steps to your life today as you walk towards your inheritance.
