Topic: Shepherd’s Staff
Text: Exodus 4: 2-17
Key verse: And take your shepherd’s staff with you, and use it to perform the miraculous signs I have shown you.”
As we reflect on the dealings of God and his processes, take note that the key to your restoration and manifestation is already in your hand. Moses arrived in Midian exhausted from his flight, he quickly adjusted to the opportunity offered to him to become a Shepherd, something l doubt if he had ever considered he will do in life. He found a rod and made it his own.
That rod became an instrument of power when God chose it. What you need for your transition is already in your hand now.
I want you to expect insight from God, and clarity of purpose for the \”ordinary\” things and people in your life right now. That rod had no connection with his past, but it held the key to his future.
Joseph had the ability to dream, David was a warrior and a worshipper, Esther learnt to obey instead of grumble, Ruth chose to give in spite of her loss. You have a Shepherd’s rod in your hand it is the key to your assignment. God delights in using ordinary things so that your faith would rest on him alone.
We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. 2 Cor.4:7
This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. Fragile as that ability may look, as long as it contains the treasure, it will show forth the power of God and subdue your enemies in Jesus name. Amen.
What is the rod in the hand of Moses compared to the might of Egypt? The rod on its own was nothing but the miraculous signs God would perform with that rod was going to make all the difference.
What is the Lord showing you? What possibilities do you see God work out in your favour?
Job had this to say, “For He performeth the thing that is appointed for me; and many such things are with Him.”
He lived with expectation! He had hope in God! He was ready to start all over again! Are you ready to follow his leading? Tell him how ready you are in prayer to use anything even a rod.
