Bankable Promises

Text: Joshua 21:45

Key verse: \”Not a single one of all the good promises the Lord had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything he had spoken came true.\”

What are bankable promises? A man or a project is said to be bankable if it is likely to make money or succeed. Banks invest in projects that are likely to be profitable and they classify them as bankable.

Some promises have remained true in different generations; they are promises that have served all who have trusted God over the ages. They apply to business, health, safety, relationship, salvation everything you may need.

By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires. 2 Peter 1:3-4

Our text points us to one of such testimonies.

Not a single one of all the good promises the Lord had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything he had spoken came true.

Man can make a promise with genuine intentions but as time progresses he may lose the ability to deliver on his words. Wisdom requires that we place our hope on the one who has all ability and has willingly made promises that we can hold unto.

Things are changing so quickly in the way that inventions, communication, and processes are being developed. Things that had been termed impossible are now the new normal in every society; imagine students now relying on a model of homeschooling relying on technology, so parents who had refused to invest in devices for their children have no choice now than to do so.

When everything is being shaken, we must stand on that which cannot be moved.

I tell you the truth until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved. Matthew 5:18

What promises have you received from God for yourself, your family, or your work? It is time to dig them out of the archives, it is  also time to stand upon them for your advancement to your next level.

God\’s words are eternal; they will be faithful to the end. May these thoughts give you hope as you gaze into the future in Jesus\’ name. Amen.

Blessings,
