Drop The Worries

Topic: Drop The Worries

Text: 1Peter 5:6-7

Key verse: Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. – 1 Peter 5:7 (NLT)

The events of this season have plagued so many with all kinds of fears, anxiety, and worries, even believers who had learned to trust in God earlier are now overwhelmed by the issues of life.

Some people have become used to being on top of the situation always that when they encounter a problem where there are unable to control events or outcomes, they begin to panic.

Life presents us with all kinds of challenges, but God has not left us to deal with life alone. Our key verse today turns our attention to God’s provision for these needs.

Give all your worries and cares to God.

Our concern for the future is the reason for worry, God wants you to leave the future in his hands. Trust the character of God to take care of your needs and stop worrying about the future.

We care about so many issues, especially our loved ones and the opinion of others. We are not equipped to handle these cares by our self because we are not all-knowing and all-powerful. Whatever has overcome you in the past is not a match for God Almighty. Trust his wisdom, and timing to take care of all your needs in Jesus’ name.

So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time, he will lift you in honor. – 1 Peter 5:6

Pride is the enemy of trust, the flesh will want to try all other options, and only when they have all failed before it considers God. That should not be the case in this season of restoration and recovery.

God has come to deliver us from every overwhelming issue. Let us pray:

Father thank you for your love for me this season, l receive all your blessings in Jesus name.

Thank you, Lord, for sustaining me through different challenging situations of life because of your great love.

Lord, l humble me before you today, l surrender my burdens to you, l know you care and l believe you can deliver me. Forgive me for depending on myself rather than on you in Jesus’ name. Amen

Blessings
