Your Praise Is A Revelation

Topic: Your Praise is a revelation

Text: Exodus 15: 1-18

Key verse: The Lord is a warrior; Yahweh is his name!

As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night. Life is made up of different seasons, every believer will encounter one season after the other as the Lord permits, the only constant in life is God’s faithfulness.

God keeps his covenant to a thousand generations of them that fear him, the promise he made to Abraham after the covenant, he fulfilled long after Abraham had passed because of his faithfulness. He never forgets! Many think God is slow, or acts too late, but what has your revelation of him taught you? Moses declared after the storms sub sided: “I will sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously; he has hurled both horse and rider into the sea.

The Lord gives his people a new song after the storm. Miriam, Hannah and Deborah sang, David also left us many songs that came out of victory over his adversaries. You will sing a new song in Jesus name, amen!

Your song is a revelation of who you have come to know as God!

Hear Moses, The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise him—my father’s God, and I will exalt him! The Lord is a warrior; Yahweh is his name! Who is the Lord to you? Its okay to sing the songs others have written about him, but it is better to sing your own songs, written out of your encounters with Him.

The Lord does not allow us pass through different seasons in vain, this is one of his ways of revealing himself. Yes, he can announce and proclaim who he is, but we understand better when it is our personal testimony. Jesus asked his disciples “Who do men say l am? Who do you say l am?” Your experience will give you a revelation of who God is. As you praise God in words, song, and dance it forms the bedrock or foundation of your faith for the future.

“You will bring them in and plant them on your own mountain—  the place, O Lord, reserved for your own dwelling, the sanctuary, O Lord, that your hands have established”. Moses began to see with the eyes of faith, that God was able to fulfill every word he had spoken concerning his people, to bring them to to the mountain to worship.

What the Lord has spoken to you will surely come to pass, build up your faith with your praise! Moses understood this, so he practiced it. Your praise becomes your weapon against doubts, fear and discouragement. Your praise will encourage you and those beside you. It will stir up faith to believe for the impossible. Remember God dwells in the praises of his people, as you praise ,God will visit. Hallelujah!!! Finally, read the testimonies behind the hymns we sing, you will be amazed at the revelations of who God is to his people.

Sing a new song today, in your understanding and in the spirit and watch what God will do. Sing about your expectations, God is able!
