God’s Way 3

Topic: God’s way 3

Text: Exodus 4:1-9

Key verse: But Moses protested again, “What if they won’t believe me or listen to me? What if they say, ‘The Lord never appeared to you’?”

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. The heart is where we process all the information we receive, and when we meditate on the wrong things they lead us to the wrong conclusions. These conclusions form false beliefs that influences or determines our choices.

God continued his conversation with Moses about his will to deliver Israel from Egypt through him, but Moses replies with another excuse.

“What if they won’t believe me or listen to me? What if they say, ‘The Lord never appeared to you’?”

Self doubt or unbelief is often a manifestation of some form of verbal abuse ,especially domestic abuse.

If you have grown up hearing people say things that run your self image, self worth and confidence down, you end up believing them and acting under the influence of those words.

The man replied, “Who appointed you to be our prince and judge? Are you going to kill me as you killed that Egyptian yesterday?”

Those words spoken kept haunting Moses. The rejection by his own Hebrew brother became a mental stronghold, that every Hebrew in Egypt would reject him.

God performed three miracles through him to assure him that, God’s presence in his life now, makes all the difference!

If you went out on a mission and failed, don’t make that general conclusion that  you will always fail!

Everything God needs for you to complete an assignment is already with you before God’s call!

If you continue to give excuses, its a manifestation of unbelief,  the children of Israel missed the promised land because of unbelief. May that not repeat itself in your life in Jesus name. Amen.

Believe in your self today, that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

Believe God that he is at work in you to will and to do his good purpose.

Silence every voice speaking any negative word pointing to your failure in the past.

If you are feeling a sense of guilt, regret or shame for those things, don’t bury them, find someone you can trust and confess your faults, and be free.

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed – James 5:16

If it is a feeling of fear, then you need to build up your faith by listening and speaking God’s word about that situation.

So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.

Give no place to the devil any more, resist him and the lies from the past, and he will flee from you.

God believes in you, believe in yourself!
