Feeling Forgotten

Topic: Feeling Forgotten

Text: Mark 4:26-29

Key verse: And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground

Blessed be the name of the Lord, who has given us another day full of his mercies , grace and goodness. The Lord has made this day, and as usual, everything the Lord makes is good! We call forth the goodness of truth to fill our hearts as we walk through the day in Jesus name.Amen

Our meditation on the subject of darkness is designed to help us see the good that takes place even in darkness, we must take a hold of its benefits, so that what the enemy meant for evil, will work out for our good in Jesus name. Amen.

Jesus declared the gospel of the kingdom. We are members of the kingdom of God if we have accepted the atonement of Christ on our behalf, and have repented and renounced the hidden works of darkness. We are translated from the kingdom of  darkness to light, by faith in the Lordship of Jesus.

Every kingdom is established on principles, values and ethos. The kingdom of God is not different. So, Jesus through his teaching taught these truths about the kingdom through parables and everyday processes we can relate with.

Today, our key text introduces us to the Kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground

Seed is full of potential, able to serve man and beast. It can provide grass, fruit, grains, tubers  and different kinds of value. The seed produces beauty and fragrance that gladdens the heart. The list of the worth or value of a seed  is endless. But, all of this is only possible AFTER the seed is hidden away in the ground.

Seed buried in the ground, is a place of darkness, it is cut off from the rest of the world for a season. The belly of the earth, though a place of darkness is the enabling environment that nurtures the  potential of the seed to fruition.

As the seed submits to the will of the Gardener, and remains in the ground, the process of creation, transformation and production takes place . By the time that seed is introduced to the world again, it would have been multiplied and its value would have increased to meet the needs of many.

Your life is like the journey of the seed, you may be feeling forgotten, hidden away in a lonely place. The circumstances that led you into a season of darkness, was not designed to destroy you, but to bring out your potential and add value to your life until you fulfill destiny.

Today, pray and ask the father to anoint your eyes to see the places where he buried you, as the places of new beginnings, creation, transformation and multiplication.

Fill your day with Thanksgiving, because a new thing is coming out of all the separation you endured, giving your life greater meaning and significance.

Have a glorious week ahead.

Blessings
