Topic: Light & Darkness
Text: Psalm 139: 7-16
Key verse: But even in darkness I cannot hide from you. To you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are the same to you.
We have a word this morning that should completely transform the way you see darkness. The presence of God is the same as in the dark as it is in light.
Darkness is never absence of God!
We cannot hide from God in darkness, neither can darkness hide us from God!
Darkness and light are the same to God! Wow! What that means is, who God is to you, is the same, whether in a season of darkness or light.
God’s attributes and nature cannot change because of darkness. God’s word stands sure in the dark as in the light.
We will begin to see now, great and awesome things that happen in the dark, that will gladden your heart and help you see how it can be easy to give thanks even for the darkness.
Assure yourself today, that the night shines as bright as the day to our God, so he can work with darkness, he can work during darkness, he can make darkness work in you favour because he is the Light!
Let this truth flood your heart and take away the fear and sting of darkness forever in Jesus name.
